Prints!

Hello to our new visitors and the few regulars we have!

We would like to formally announce that we will be producing fine art prints of select beer paintings in the coming weeks. The first painting we intend to use is the one above and we will be offering 13x19in  prints on high quality cotton rag with archival inks. We do not intend to produce prints of any of our older works (especially commissioned), but we will produce new paintings in the coming months, very likely in the style of the painting above. Perhaps an updated great breweries of California, then Oregon, and beyond! Any suggestions are welcome!

Cheers!
Cara & Louie

24x16in
Ink and Water Soluble Oils on Canvas

This is a highly unique commissioned painting that pays tribute to "M," made by the great Alaskan brewery, Midnight Sun. As many beerfans know, the few bottles that remain from this 10th anniversary  are highly sought after and awfully hard to obtain. While we'll surely never get to try M, we do love the rest of the Midnight Sun line-up, which gives us great reason to not doubt the praisers of this singular beer and the likely singular experience of trying it.

King Henry, Bourbon County Stout, Zombie Dust, and KBS

Whew, there are some great beers in this commissioned painting. All of which either aren't distributed or don't get distributed in Oregon. Of course, Bourbon County Stout used to make it out here, but it hasn't since 2009. All the same, these are some of the best beers around and it was a pleasure to pay tribute to them in this painting.

Apologies for the lack of posts as of late - - we've been very busy with other projects. The paintings above are a few of our recent commissions in ink and paint.

We also recently did a really cool oil painting that we'll be able to show in the coming weeks and we have a large Belgian cap painting that will be for sale in the near future. We may be looking to producing prints of the Belgian cap painting as well...

Cantillon

An original painting of the caps and corks from the great brewery, Cantillon. As we've become more interested in the style, the great lambics have become increasingly hard to get. In fact, it has been years since we've even seen a Cantillon lambic in town. Luckily, this changed very recently when The Brew Shop, our favorite bottle shop, got a few bottles of the most excellent Lou Pepe gueuze in stock - - awesome.

This is the latest in our limited series of low cost ink and paint works on panel and four of our favorite breweries to boot. We love to field commissions via email, but we've also set up a "made to order" etsy page for paintings this size and style.

Ninkasi

66x78in
Ink and Oil Paint on Canvas

We recently posted about a series of paintings we did for our friends at The Brew Shop here in Bend, Oregon. We are excited to say that we just finished and installed the centerpiece of art, a tribute to the Sumerian goddess of brewing and beer, Ninkasi. In the future, we may be offering prints of the piece in conjunction with The Brew Shop. Until then, stop by the best beer store in Central Oregon to check out the painting.

Goose Island

A painting of the crowns from the great Chicago brewery, Goose Island. For our money, Bourbon County Stout and King Henry are two of the best barrel-aged beers out there. We are also big fans of Pere Jacques and the other Belgian-style beers from Goose Island. This painting is the second in our limited series of economically-priced beer paintings.

St. Bernardus Crowns

St. Bernardus crowns in ink and paint on panel
$100
SOLD

This original painting contains the crowns of the great Belgian brewery, St. Bernardus, the Prior 8, Tripel, Abt 12, and Pater 6. The painting is also an attempt on our part to make beer art that is a bit more economical, without sacrificing quality.

Adolphe Sax and Brasserie Caracole's Saxo

Commission
24x18in
Oil on Canvas

This is definitely one of the more interesting beer-related paintings we've done. The commissioned painting pays tribute to the inventor of the saxophone, Adolphe Sax and the tasty Belgian ale named after him - Saxo. We made an original bust of Sax for the painting to go along with the cork, cage, bottle, and glass from Brasserie Caracole's Saxo.
